The Real and the Unreal

The Real: Michael Phelps led off the mens relay team to take the Gold today. He is trying for six more golds to beat Mark Spitz' unbelievable record. Here is Michael's reaction as the oldest athlete on the US Swim Team, 32-yr old Jason Lezak, rammed home ahead of France's powerful Alain Bernard, by a fingertip.

The Unreal: And here is Mr. Chuckles, our dyslexic president, showing off his flag-waving skills to the world. Notice even daughter Barbara seems a bit puzzled by the reverse flag. Laura looks cluelessly happy, as usual. C'mon George, if only you'd have given that flag one more turn, so it was flying upside down, I might've applauded your Olympic truth telling feat!

At the opening ceremonies, Bush was tapping his leg with a little flag, like he was bored as all shite.

Ball of Light:
maybe if we all repeat that 3-times Bush will disappear! I can hope.

Diva:
I saw that! What a buffoon! He also checked his watch like he couldn't wait to get out of there, which I'm sure he did as soon as the USA paraded by because they never showed him again that night.

Also in this reverse flag pic, WHY is his face so red? Sure looks like an alcohol flush to me. Does he save all his drinking for foreign trips, or what?

LOL!! That is too funny..he's such a yokel!! As for the olympics..it is fun to watch whenever I do get the chance... tonight, they did not mess up the American anthem..good..you'd think that of all the countries, 'the band' would have practiced some more often than others as in, what are the odds of having to play it? Of course then my husband says..isn't it 'canned'? Well, unless they were playing an old fashioned record player, when Phelps won his first gold they messed up royally..anyhoo..it's bed time..

The anthems are pre recorded & I think someone was having their fun by cutting off the end of it the other day.

This backwards flag pic is great.....& yes his daughter does have this.... Gawd you are so embarrassing look.

Phelps is sweet. His Mom was still overwhelmed at medal #8 shedding some tears of joy.

Ingrid:
I don't watch too much, mainly just the highlights. But I have been following Phelps. There's just something so fine about a swimmer's long muscles & grace in water. I was watching when they cut the anthem off & Phelps laughed. Gotta keep a sense of humor about these things. I'm sure I wouldn't even know if a piece of chinese music was over or not.

Fran:
She may not be the brightest bulb, but even she looks puzzled & pretty sure something is NOT right. Keith featured it as an olympic highlight tonight. Did you notice anything unusual about my "label"? Hey never let it be said that I cannot be juvenile.

That was something seeing Phelps reaction. So far so good with his goal. I wish him luck! Man just sing that scum Bush's face there ruined the moment for me!

I have loved watching Phelps. My nephew is a big swimmer and hopes to be an olympic swimmer himself. I text him every night as Phelps swims. It's fun to be excited about something eh? I like diving too.

I was so hoping he would hold that flag not only backwards but upside down, as this is the universal signal of distress. He is the world's dumbest mofo.

btw..how have you been DK? Still thinking about Juno I bet..how are you remembering him these days?

Oh, I thought that was Condileeza Rice.

The top news story today appears to be the revelation that athletes eat a lot of food and don't get fat.

Apparently this is big news for the MSM.

GREAT pic of doofus shrub desecrating the flag yet again. Like DivaJood mention, banging it on his leg was also a great show of his true sense of patriotism. LOL!

I'm sorry I ruined the moment for you! I was sure glad when he finally flew home.

Mary:
OMG, a possible Olympic swimmer in the family! I bet your nephew will never forget this Olympics.

UT Savage:
If there was an Olympic Mofo Event, he'd be wearing mofogold.

Ingrid:
The feelings come & go. I've got her ashes up on a shelf now, so it feels like she's watching over me. Thanks for asking.

Weaseldog:
next they'll be telling us exercise is good! no story is too obvious if it can divert our attn from war, the economy, the evironment, etc.

Helenwheels:
hey long time, no seeing you around! yup on opening night, the doofus was trying to keep himself awake by banging a little plastic flag against his leg.

Engima:
that is an honor, thank you! now if only I could get out of my funk & actually do some blogging. But hey if PT is back, that MUST mean the revolution cannot be far behind!
