When the rain comes ...

When the rain comes, you run and hide your head ....

Top photo is a Purple Sage plant in my backyard responding to a little summer rain storm. Then there is Clyde responding to having been bathed on a rainy day. He's usually quite frisky after a bath. Must've been the rain.

And here's my rainy day state of mind: in filling out a crossword puzzle, I come to a 4-letter word for "Optimism". I already have H_PE. What do I fill in? HYPE, of course!

Jeez, well, some days you might be looking for HOPE but HYPE is what you're gonna get no matter where you look!

ps, sorry to be so rushed ...

I'm gonna be scarce on the blogs for awhile, mostly working on a gynormous home design project which I hope to be able to hype soon.

Please don't give up on me!

Sounds like fun to me. Looks like you are building a new house...lol

Stay cool, we have been having some really rainy, stormy weather too.

Enjoy it while it lasts...lol

That sage is a beautiful color! Fragrant?
Clyde has no idea what a posh new dog house he's about to get!

Coooool design of the new digs. The courtyard center focus is nice, and oh! What's that? Guest bedroom???

so far the house exists strictly in my mind's eye, but we hope to break ground soon. and yeah, this has been the greatest June weather we can remember, haven't even had to run the A/C!

Fran:
The aroma of sage is only evident if you crush the leaves. The flowers are pretty but scentless. That particular sage is a different variety than the deep purple ones in our front yard which won't bloom until July. Alas, the interior courtyard is one of things I had to change to give us a big home office. But that's OK, with the changes I've made to the rear patio, it's more like a courtyard (though windier than an interior courtyard would've been). Thanks for not giving up on ME!

Enigma:
I've missed you, too! Just visualizing you tapping away on your front porch has made your book all the more real. Can't wait to see the final results!

Beautiful sage and Clyde is adorable under that towel!

Good luck on the house. And I'm envious of your fabulous weather. It seems as if it's been raining for weeks here in Jersey.

Clyde is all loaded up in the traveling poop-mobile as we head out on a little trip up to SLC where I hear it is raining & cold. Bringing my house plans with me to keep refining the details. Even though we are leaving behind our abnormally wonderful June weather, you know you would not envy our July-Aug weather AT ALL!
